Resources to support Mental Health and Wellbeing

The Student Wellbeing Team consists of Student Welfare Officers and School Nurse. Support is provided in a variety of different ways including providing information, short term counselling support, financial assistance and referrals to outside organisations for longer term support.

As in any community there are a wide range of life experiences had by each of the community members, and the welfare team focus on supporting students in the school community who are experiencing difficulties.  This may include concerns relating to mental health, peer conflict, family conflict, issues at school, financial assistance, grief and loss, or other personal issues impacting on students.

Another key focus of the Welfare Program is to develop a variety of programs aimed at improving wellbeing. These small group programs are focused on improving mental health, interpersonal skills, resilience, self esteem and school engagement. The Student Wellbeing Team also assists with whole school prevention programs such as R U Ok Day, and year level presentations on wellbeing topics.

The Student Wellbeing Team can be contacted through the College Administration Office.
